Ronald is a Founding Partner of Pro-invest and has been the Group's Chief Executive Officer since its inception. He has over 40 years of real estate investment, development and project management experience working on a variety of transactional projects in Europe, GCC and Asia. Previously, he was the CEO and latterly a main board director of ALDAR Properties PJSC under which mandates he overviewed an overall development program in excess of USD 75bn as part of mixed used schemes in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This included hotel developments valued at USD 4bn comprising for instance the development of the world renowned Yas Island, home to F1 in Abu Dhabi which was developed between 2005 and 2009. Prior to this, Ronald created and managed his own real estate companies with assets in Europe and Australia with multiple exits through trade sales to parties such as Westfield and Mutliplex and IPOs (LSE) in Europe. Ron was the Founder, CEO and Chairman of Stannifer Hotels UK which was Stannifer Group's answer to the upcoming demand of for Quality Limited Service Hotels. Stannifer Hotels UK developed and operated 15 new build quality limited service hotels and became one of the largest and most successful QLS hotel developers, owners and operators in the UK with more than 2000 bedrooms. Under his leadership, Stannifer Hotels designed, developed and operated a portfolio of 15 Holiday Inn Express hotels in the UK as well as created, designed and developed the first Ramada Encore hotel globally in partnership with Marriott International. Ronald is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
Sabine is a Founding Partner and the Managing Director, Pro-invest International Asset Management. She started her career 16 years ago at 3i where she focused on investments in FMCG and retail. Following her MPA program at Harvard University, she joined McKinsey & Company focusing on finance and public affairs in Europe and the GCC region where she worked on high profile projects 2000-2005. Most recently, she worked as Director of Investments at Evolvence Capital, from 2005-2010, a GCC based asset manager, where she was involved in setting up and managing private equity funds, supported the team on sourcing co-investment opportunities and as well as helping on capital raising. Believing in the benefit of Private Equity Real Estate, Sabine soon focused on the Real Estate side, she worked on the set up of a Real Estate Development Fund in the GCC for newly built office buildings as well as mixed use development. At Pro-invest Group, she is looking after the Private Equity investment side of the business and also works on a number of retail as well as office projects in the UK, Germany and Australia. In Germany, she was involved in preparing the sale of one of the biggest retail assets to an Asian SWF. Her primary responsibilities are on assisting in the structuring of real estate investment vehicles into Australia for German Institutional investor for whom she was in charge for the pre-selection of various assets and assisted in running the due diligence. She was also advising a number of German institutions on how to restructure assets in Australia following the GFC. Her extensive experience in structuring as well as asset managing of investment vehicles, allow her to guarantee tax efficiency as well as a controlled administration of all investments. Sabine holds a Master's degree from Harvard University as well as PhD in Economics from the University of Austria.
Tim Sherlock is the Managing Director of Pro-invest Developments. He has been working on projects with the team since 2010. He has 17 years of experience in the Australian property market having worked for a number of well-known property organisations. Throughout his career, Tim has gained extensive experience and knowledge of site acquisitions and project / development management working with Davlon Management (Sid Londish), Savills, Investec Bank, Explore Development Funds Management (Laing O'Rourke) and Stirling Bridge Capital. During his time with real estate agency Savills, Tim was involved in the sale of residential and commercial development sites and commercial, industrial and retail investments. Tim's five years as Investec's Head of Acquisitions gave him a strong understanding of financial structuring and extensive experience in development management and site acquisitions. Tim's primary role was to identify, execute and deliver development and value add acquisition opportunities for the bank to partner with its clients in addition to assisting with the management if Investec's on balance sheet equity positions. Tim's strong knowledge of the Australian Real Estate Market and extensive national network of property owners and agents ensures the effective identification of the most suitable sites on the right terms and price.
Phil Kasselis is Managing Director of Pro-invest Hotels Group. A fourth generation hotelier, he has spent more than 30 years in the hotel sector with diversified experience in hotel operations, hospitality consulting, hotel development & acquisitions and hotel brokerage. Prior to joining Pro-invest Group, Phil spent 13 years with IHG leading the group's strategic expansion of their iconic hotel brands, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express through new developments and negotiating hotel management agreements and franchises throughout Asia, Australasia, and the Middle East & Africa. Prior to relocating to Australia in 2012, Phil was based in Singapore for two years as Vice President Development, Asia Australasia prior to which he was based in Dubai for 5 years as IHG's Vice President Development, Middle East & Africa. Phil has extensive experience with the Holiday Inn Express brand having been involved in negotiating Holiday Inn Express deals in Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Thailand, Indonesia and South Africa. Prior to joining IHG, he held former roles as Director, Hotel Investments with hotel brokers Knight Frank Expotel and worked for Accor Asia Pacific in Sydney as Development Director. He has extensive hospitality consulting experience having spent six years with Horwath Asia Pacific and two years leading Arthur Andersen's hospitality consulting practice in the firm's Real Estate Services Group advising clients on hotel development strategy and investment opportunities throughout Asia Pacific.
