Last week, Pro-invest Group’s Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Dr. Sabine Schaffer, participated in the Sustainability Roundtable at the ANREV Annual Conference 2025 in Singapore, joining peers from Morgan Stanley, PIMCO, and other leading institutions. The discussion was strategic and forward-looking, highlighting how Environmental Social Governance (ESG) is no longer a side strategy. It is now central to investment decision-making across the region.
Key themes included the growing influence of mandatory climate regulations, the financial materiality of ESG-certified assets, and the evolution of valuation metrics. Buildings with strong sustainability credentials are commanding capital uplifts of up to 20%, while green loans are increasingly linking financing terms to ESG performance. Tools like GRESB, Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor (CRREM), and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) Recommendations are helping investors map and manage climate risk, while voluntary frameworks continue to build trust and drive innovation.
As early adopters of ESG across our investment journey, Pro-invest Group has built a strong track record in applying leading principles throughout our hotel portfolio. We are now extending these insights to our Living platform, positioning ourselves to meet rising expectations from governments, investors, employees, partners, and guests. We thank ANREV for hosting such a dynamic and insightful event and look forward to continuing the conversation on sustainable real estate and impact investing.
