Pro-invest Group recently celebrated the launch of Holiday Inn & Suites Sunshine Coast, marking an important new chapter for the Maroochydore hotel and reflecting the Group’s long-term approach to investing in and managing operational real estate.

As noted by Anthony D. Ursino, Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel of Pro-invest Group, the repositioning represents more than a brand upgrade. It demonstrates how active asset management, operational expertise and continued reinvestment can ensure an asset evolves alongside its market.

When the hotel was originally developed, the vision was to create a high-quality property capable of growing with one of Australia’s fastest-developing coastal destinations. As Maroochydore has matured into a thriving business, tourism and lifestyle hub, the hotel has evolved to respond to changing guest expectations.

The repositioned property offers enhanced accommodation, expanded food and beverage facilities, family-focused experiences and a stronger connection to its local surroundings. The new Nineteen Restaurant & Bar takes its name from the golf course that previously occupied the site, preserving an element of local history as part of the hotel’s future.

The transformation reflects Pro-invest Group’s belief that successful hospitality investment extends beyond development and acquisition. Long-term value is created through active asset management, operational excellence and a commitment to continually enhancing assets so they remain relevant to guests, investors and the communities they serve.

This approach also extends to environmental and social performance. Designed from its original development with a strong focus on energy efficiency, the hotel continues to support initiatives including RISE, reinforcing Pro-invest Group’s commitment to delivering positive environmental and social outcomes alongside commercial performance.

Pro-invest Group extends its thanks to its investors, partners and teams whose expertise and collaboration helped deliver the successful repositioning of Holiday Inn & Suites Sunshine Coast.

A special acknowledgement goes to Tim Sherlock, Kristi Wayman, Oliver Webster, Tobey Rowe and Peter Manderson for their leadership and commitment in shaping the asset’s next chapter.
