Flexibility, guest experience and operational excellence are becoming increasingly important in shaping the next generation of urban accommodation.

These were among the key themes explored during The Rise of Institutional Residential Living panel at the recent Urbanity-26 conference, where Pro-invest Group Chief Executive Officer ANZ, Tim Sherlock, joined industry leaders to discuss how accommodation expectations are evolving and what this means for investors, owners and operators.

With more than 27 years of experience across acquisitions, development, funds and asset management, Tim brought a practical perspective to the discussion, highlighting the increasingly important role hospitality can play in creating differentiated accommodation experiences.

As Tim noted during the panel:

“It’s all about flexibility. But it’s also about the experience. Hospitality is in the DNA of everything we do.”

For Pro-invest Group, this perspective is grounded in extensive experience developing, owning and operating hospitality assets across Australasia.

As guest expectations continue to evolve, the opportunity extends beyond simply providing accommodation. Increasingly, successful urban accommodation requires a combination of flexibility, service, thoughtful design and strong operational execution, creating experiences that respond to how guests want to stay.

This approach is reflected in Pro-invest Group’s growing focus on Urban Accommodation, a hospitality-led accommodation model designed to provide guests with greater flexibility, service and choice across different lengths of stay.

Drawing on its vertically integrated investment, development, asset management and operating capabilities, Pro-invest Group is focused on strategies where strong real estate fundamentals are complemented by active asset management, customer experience and operational expertise.

The Urbanity-26 discussion reinforced a clear theme for the future of operational real estate: long-term value will increasingly be influenced not only by the underlying asset, but by the quality of the guest experience, the strength of the operating platform and the ability to adapt to changing patterns of demand.

As institutional capital continues to broaden its focus across living and accommodation sectors, Pro-invest Group believes hospitality-led operational capability will play an increasingly important role in creating differentiated, resilient and high-performing real estate.
