Sydney, Australia, 27 April 2015: International investment firm Pro-invest Group and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) have signed a franchise agreement for a 245-room Holiday Inn Express hotel in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD. The hotel will be the first Holiday Inn Express in the city and the third to be developed under the master development agreement between Pro-invest Group and IHG which will see the roll out of Holiday Inn Express hotels throughout Australia’s key markets.
The new build hotel will be located on Adelaide’s thriving Hindley Street, in close proximity to North Terrace, the Adelaide Convention Centre and the upcoming Royal Adelaide Hospital. Leisure travellers can enjoy a short walk to the Adelaide Casino and sporting hub Adelaide Oval, whilst the accessibility to major corporate offices within the CBD from the hotel will be a draw for business travellers.

Pro-invest Group, in close collaboration with IHG and leading hotel designer Joseph Pang, has tailored the design of the typical Holiday Inn Express hotel to meet the requirements of the Australian market. Hotels developed by Pro-invest Group will be leading in design, value and personality in order to provide modern business and leisure travellers a value-driven guest experience. In addition, all hotels will be part of IHG’s Rewards Club, the world’s first and largest hotel loyalty program with over 84 million members worldwide.
Set to open in early 2017, Holiday Inn Express Adelaide CBD is the third Holiday Inn Express to be signed in Australia. The first hotel is due to open early next year at Macquarie Park, Sydney and the second hotel will follow in the second half of 2016 in Brisbane’s Spring Hill.
