Pro-invest Group attended the Gulf & Indian Ocean Hotel Investors Summit (GIOHIS) in Abu Dhabi last month. The sixth edition of the summit set out to tackle some of today’s big issues including the rush of owners to franchises; the opportunities and challenges of ESG standards and the rise in construction supply costs and interest rates.
Dr. Sabine Schaffer, Co-Founder and CEO, Europe, shared the company’s latest insight during the keynote session ‘Sustainability – why it is a must-have not a “nice-to-do” in developing new hotels and resorts’, moderated by HOFTEL Chairman & CEO Simon Allison and alongside Josef Kleindienst, Chairman, Kleindienst Group.
This session, followed by the breakout ‘What do hoteliers have to do to meet the increasing environmental demands of guests and regulators?’, allowed us to share how impact driven investment underpins our approach.
Living up to the important role a hotel investor and operator can and should play in creating sustainable solutions has been pivotal to our approach over the last decade. Read our latest Energy Efficiency Case Studies here.
While at the conference, Dr. Sabine Schaffer also spoke to Boutique Hotel News to share more about the investment landscape, the role of ESG at Pro-invest Group and value-add opportunities.
