Pro-invest Group, in collaboration with the Auckland University of Technology (AUT), is proud to unveil the Pro-invest Group RISE Hospitality & Tourism Scholarship – an initiative designed to break down barriers and open doors for aspiring hospitality and tourism professionals in New Zealand.

The Scholarship awards $5,000 annually to students aged 18-20 who show genuine enthusiasm for the industry but face financial challenges to accessing AUT’s esteemed hospitality and tourism programs. In line with Pro-invest Group’s ESG strategy and ethos, One Earth, Countless Experiences, this partnership underscores a commitment to developing the next generation of talent, fostering diversity, and supporting workforce growth critical to the vitality of the hotel and tourism sectors.

This new scholarship not only provides vital financial assistance but also offers recipients a comprehensive pathway into the hospitality profession. Successful applicants will be mentored by Pro-invest Group hotel executives and may benefit from internships, work experience, and part-time job opportunities throughout their studies. Upon graduation, AUT students will be considered for full-time roles across Pro-invest Group’s New Zealand hotel portfolio – including voco Auckland City Centre, Holiday Inn Express Auckland City Centre, and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Queenstown – or even in Pro-invest Group hotels abroad. This expansion into New Zealand builds on the program’s success in Australia, where RISE has already made a valuable impact since its 2024 launch with Southern Cross University.

RISE is a cornerstone social impact initiative of One Earth, Countless Experiences by Pro-invest Group, complementing other key initiatives such as CARE (Creating Accessible Roles and Experiences) with MAX Employment, and the Pro-Women Leadership Alliance to elevate women in leadership positions. Through this multifaceted approach, Pro-invest Group continues to foster inclusion, diversity, and opportunity within the hospitality sector.
