Highlighting the need for better-targeted investments for people, planet and prosperity, it underscores the imperative of sustainable investments in the hotel sector – which accounts for around 1% of global carbon emissions.

Newcastle Hotel Achieves Carbon Neutral Certification Renewal

Another move towards achieving our Net Zero 2030 journey… We are proud to announce our Holiday Inn Express Newcastle hotel having achieved its second Carbon Neutral certification under the NABERS Climate Active pathway. This achievement follows the hotel having reeled in a 5.5-star NABERS Energy rating (without GreenPower) and 5.5-star NABERS Water rating in its 2022 NABERS renewals. In 2021, the Newcastle-based hotel marked the first hotel building in Australia to be carbon neutral certified under the NABERS Climate Active pathway.
