Pro-invest Group is proud to announce our contribution to the newly released Sustainability Guide for Melbourne Hotels, developed by Urbis in partnership with the City of Melbourne. This landmark guide delivers clear frameworks, practical checklists, and innovative case studies to help hotels of all sizes advance their sustainability efforts, addressing areas such as energy efficiency, water conservation, social value, governance, and guest experience.

The guide recognises the rising expectations of guests, investors, and corporate clients, highlighting that sustainability is now essential for business resilience, reputation, and long-term value in hospitality. By providing actionable steps and showcasing real-world success stories, it empowers hotel operators to drive meaningful change and positions Melbourne as a leader in sustainable tourism.

We are honoured that our Holiday Inn Express Melbourne Southbank is featured in the guide as a case study, illustrating how targeted investment and cutting-edge technology can achieve measurable improvements in energy performance. as the hotel lifted its NABERS Energy rating by 0.5-stars to 5-stars, along with the Clean Energy Finance Corporation and Commonwealth Bank of Australia being joint financiers in this project. The case study around the Melbourne Southbank hotel demonstrates how targeted investment, and innovative technology can deliver measurable reductions in energy use and emissions.
